The fundamental purpose of blinds is to control the amount of light entering the room. Blinds are used to block out the sun to the degree required, by adjusting their coverage of the window.  This in turn helps with being able to control the temperature inside a room, which can also lead to efficiencies in heating and cooling for your home.

Of course, they should also add to the overall look and feel of their surroundings, and be aesthetically pleasing for maximum visual impact.

Our most popular types of blinds include:

Venetian blinds – which are made up of singular horizontal strips or slats, and are usually made of timber, metal, vinyl or PVC. These blinds are very common due to their practicality and durability.

Roller blinds – which move up and down on a roller to cover or uncover the window. These are one long piece of fabric as opposed to singular strips and are often used in conjunction with a sheer curtain for maximum effect. They can also be doubled up with a blockout layer to form Double Roller Blinds.

Roman blinds – which are similar to roller blinds in that they are one piece of fabric, but differ in that they form pleated folds when they are raised up, instead of being rolled onto a cylinder. They come in two types, soft and hard, depending on the fabric used.

Vertical blinds – are blinds made up of long vertical vanes which are designed to be connected to a track that controls their sliding movement. They are perfect for wide windows and sliding door coverings.
